Minimum percentage of 50% marks in aggregate is not applicable to SC/ST candidates and to those candidates (Irrespective of community),who possess qualifications higher than matriculation such as HSC/Intermediate/Graduation/Post Graduation.(or) Act Apprenticeship / ITI . No other qualification including Diploma in Engineering will be accepted as an alternative. Act Apprenticeship / ITI Certificate must be approved by SCVT/NCVT. Desirable : (i) Experience in the field and performances given in AIR/Doordarshan etc.(ii) Prizes won at National level.

Age Limit : Candidates should have attained age of 18 years and should not have completed 30 years as n 01.07.2013.The upper age relax-able by 03 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities by 05 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities

Mode Of Selection : Performance of candidates who apply in response to this notification and are found eligible for consideration for appointment against cultural quota shall be assessed on the basis of  Written Test (Note: The written test will consist of objective type questions)

The Application Form should be filled up in English or in Hindi only, strictly observing all the instructions given in the Employment Notice. Candidates should affix their normal signature in English or in Hindi in the Application Form. Application signed in capital letters/spaced out letters will be treated as invalid. Candidate’s Name, Address with Pin Code, Date of Birth, Father’s Name and nearest Railway Station should be written legibly in English in bold capital letters, even if the candidate fills up the Application Form in Hindi. Photographs : One recent (not earlier than three months from the date of application) colour photographs of size 3.5x3.5 c.m. with clear front view of the candidate without cap and sunglasses, should be pasted on the Application Form in the space provided. Photostat copy of photograph is not permitted. Candidates should sign in the space provided in the box below the photograph. An extra identical colour photograph should be enclosed with the application, indicating candidate’s name and category number on the reverse of the photograph. Candidates may note that North Western Railways may, at any stage, reject the applications for pasting old/unclear photograph on the application or for any significant variations between photograph pasted in the Application Form and the actual physical appearance of the candidate. The envelope containing the application should be clearly super scribed “Application for physically handicapped persons (OH,HH,VH) for the Post of ______ Category No._______ of  Employment Notice No. 01/2012(PH/SRD) ”. If the post and category no. is not indicated on the top of the envelope containing the application, the same will not be entertained. Applications complete in all respects along with required enclosures should be  sent  BY ORDANARY POST to Dy.
