Vacancies for Research Associate, Research Assistant, Computer Programmer and Project Assistant in Banaras Hindu University, varanasi, BHU March 2012

Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate/Research Assistant/Computer Programmer and Project Assistant in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Science for a World Health Organization (WHO) Sponsored Project entitled “Medical Abortion Provision in Bihar and Jharkhand States”. The post is purely temporary and co-terminated with the project. The required qualifications, age and emoluments to be paid are as follows:

1. One Research Associate :  Qualification: Doctorate in Statistics/Demography/Sociology/Psychology/Economics/ Political Science/  Social Work with atleast 55% marks in post-graduate examination, Age:  45 years maximum, Emolument Rs: 25,000/- P.M. fixed, duration of engagement: 6 month.
2. Six Research Assistant :  Qualification: Post Graduate in Statistics/Demography/Sociology/Psychology/Economics/ Political Science/ Social Work with atleast 55% marks in post-graduate examination, Age:  32 years maximum, Emolument Rs: 18,000/- P.M. fixed, duration of engagement: 4 month.
3. One Computer Programmer : Qualification, Post Graduate in Computer Science or MCA with atleast 55% marks in post –graduate examination, Age: 28 years maximum, Emoluments Rs: 15,000/- P.M. fixed, duration of engagement: 6 month.
4. One Project Assistant : Qualification, Graduate in any discipline with minimum of 55% marks, Age: 35 years maximum, Emoluments Rs 6,000/- P.M. fixed, duration of engagement: 6 month and may be extended upto 6 months.

A relaxation of 5 years in age will be given to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped and Female candidates.
