Mumbai Port Trust offers facility for Summer Training/Internship Training to students studying at graduation/post-graduation level.
Salient features are:
(1) Internship/summer training is open for students pursuing both
Graduation and Post Graduation courses. (2) Period of summer
training/internship may be upto 2 months between May and August and
between November and January as per the curriculum of the
institution/college/university. (3) Summer training/internship
opportunities is available in following areas. Specific requests for
other areas can be considered on quality of proposal and requirement of
Port.(i) Port operations,(ii) Logistics/supply chain,(iii) Finance(iv)
Mechanical Engineering,(v) Electrical Engineering,(vi) Civil
Engineering(vii) Nautical Science,(viii) Marine Engineering,(ix)
Architecture,(x) Human Resources(xi) Industrial Relations,(xii) Business
Development,(xiii) Corporate governance (xiv) Legal
Preference would be given to students from :(i) local institutes/colleges and institutes/colleges in Maharashtra ,(ii) children of MbPT employees ,(iii) girl students (iv) handicapped students ,(v) SC/ST students

How to apply
The
applications should furnish details of the
institution/college/university with recognition/registration and brief
course details andthe curriculum of the students. The application of the
student should cover personal details, qualification, cause pf study,
etc. Applications may be forwarded latest by 31.5.2012 for summer training/internship between June and August 2012.
