Project Title :
Bio-prospecting of hydrocarbon contaminated soil and using Agro
waste(s) for enhanced production of Polyhydroxy Alkanoates (PHA).
Qualification : M.Sc.,
/ M.Phil in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Life Sciences or Equivalent
with first class. The candidate should have working knowledge in
Microbial and Molecular Biology Techniques, which shall be evident ONLY
through dissertation work/ research publication. The incumbent will also
be essentially required to travel different locations of Tamil Nadu for
collecting samples periodically.

Emoluments : Rs.12, 000/- per month for the 1st & 2nd year and Rs. 14,000/-p.m from 3rd year onwards

The eligible candidate may appear directly in a “Walk-in Interview” on 25/06/2012 at 11.00 am in Department of Biotechnology Periyar University, Salem-11. However,
the candidates should submit their detailed Bio-data indicating Date of
birth, educational qualification & distinction, publications
(supported with reprints) and experiences along with a color passport
size photo latest by 10.45 am of date of interview. In the application,
candidates should indicate “Application for JRF”. Candidates should be
